Garden
A space to enjoy the morning sun, under a soft canopy.
A bare lawn dominated the existing sloping site and there was little privacy. To soften the house and refine the main entry and separate driveway, which visually grabbed your eye, we created a path that matches the proportion of the house and size of the garden.
Using trees either side of the path creates separation in the long open space and responds to the height of the house, allowing it to settle into the space. Planting creates a layered effect, hiding the level changes, softening the structural elements and allowing the planting to be the feature.
