Mosman
Garden
Vantage points of green through a tranquil courtyard.
The redesign of this front garden creates a sense of arrival, complementing the architecture of the house and creating a play area for the children. The Japanese maple acts as a focal point, inviting people to follow the path from the front entrance.
Steppers in the lawn make it feel larger than a solid path, while new sandstone walling retains the landing for the front door and entertaining area and ties in with the sandstone footing of the house. Terracing creates definition between the areas and ensures the children can be seen while adults sit above.
