To create a private space that complements the style and age of the house, we focused on formal planting in this front garden. The layout ensures privacy from the street, using Lillypillys for simple screening and allowing the Jacaranda to be the feature in from the street.

Inside, Ornamental Pear trees, which are traditionally used as hedges, create structure and balance, as well as dramatic scale and seasonal change. When the hedges drop leaves in winter the intertwined branches bring a beautiful architectural element which is softened by the sandstone path, which connects to the house and ages naturally.
